Conspiracy & Guitar Pull #66
The Bard's Town, 1801 Bardstown Rd...on the corner of Bardstown Rd. and Speed Ave. in the Louisville Highlands, Louisville, KY
On Sunday, January 21 at The Bard’s Town, 1801 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY, Conspiracy & Guitar Pull #66 will feature singer/songwriters Paul Brendan Mcgee, Joel Curtis and host Jim Needler, sponsored by Jeanne Samdani, CMFC with Kentucky Planning Partners. Joel Curtis is a gentle & humorous folk, blues, country story teller with a pleasing baritone voice. He writes and sings in the vein of John Prine, Nanci Griffith and Bob Dylan with a twist of hymnody, physics and Zen. Joel grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan, met a Kentucky girl and now lives and works in Louisville. Paul Brendan Mcgee is a carpenter & a man of the resistance whose songs will give you a kick. They are playful, hilarious, pointed & well-crafted. It’s unclear exactly when Paul took up the guitar and started writing songs or exactly what motivates his insistence on democracy, but here he is singing and insisting. Jim Needler is a folk rock inclined songwriter and singer of folk songs. He started hosting the Conspiracy & Guitar Pull in May of 2012 to "encourage songwriters and the people who value their work."
